The Brief
Career.io required a full-blown course directory to serve as the core of its learning platform. The project's goal was to transform an initial concept into a fully-fledged platform providing accessible, high-quality digital skills training.
As a collaboration with FutureLearn, Career.io has the backing of respected academic and industry leaders, ensuring its courses are credible and in-demand.
Challenge
In addition to Career.io's own identity, we needed to be sympathetic to the brand guidelines of its partners and incorporate their key colors and logos into the course directory's design.
The team needed to position Career.io as a service-focused platform that specializes in breaking down barriers to education, empowering learners to advance their careers with crucial digital and tech skills.
Future-Proofing
We built the comprehensive course directory, which allows premium members to sign up for courses and receive a certification upon completion.
To ensure the platform was prepared for the future, we integrated the front end seamlessly with the back-end learning platform. This allows for smooth onboarding of new learners and provides clear, simple access to course information and enrollment portals in a rapidly changing industry.

To address this, we designed two distinct user pathways: one for learners looking to quickly upskill and boost their CV, and another for individuals new to the digital world. This foundational user-centric design is further enhanced by the AI recommendation engine, ensuring a uniquely tailored and welcoming experience for every user.
